FALLTHRU VERSION 2.00; CHANGES RELATIVE TO VERSION 1.01
Many changes have been made in this updated version of Fallthru. Some
are fairly minor, others are major. The most important changes are
listed here.
Size of the game has increased, now necessitating the use of two 360K
floppy diskettes or a high capacity diskette or hard drive to run the
game. At least 300K of RAM should be available.
The amount of instructional material has been greatly reduced making it
much easier to get started in the game.
A complete command list is availble on-screen during game operation via
a 'help' command.
The amount of background information about Faland has been greatly
expanded and an 'info' command, giving access to the new information
while the game is in progress, has been added.
Limited scoring has been added to enhance competitive play.
A 'redo' command now allows a player to do the current turn over.
A 'restore' command allows restarting from the last saved position
without first exiting the game.
Warrior and renegade combats have been reprogrammed to make them more
realistic.
Many new sites have been added; old sites have been expanded; new
demons, new magic devices, and new challenges have been added.
Fallthru remains an 'open' territory game in which the player can roam
through a vast land with relatively few arbitrary restrictions imposed
by the underlying program structure. The game can be played by up to
three persons, either working together or in competition and changes
enough from run to run that it can be played over and over without
losing its capacity for challenge.
